2014. 2days old. Miami/Ft.Lauderdale
Figured Id get a Jeep since I moved down from Upstate NY. So far love it and so does everyone else. Few friends wanting to trade into a jeep after checking out mine.

Where'd you get the matching paint?

|Dreman677||Just got mine today. I was looking at different colors and options, but kept coming back to this color. Pictures don't do this color justice. I'm glad I made this decision.|

My new '14 Anvil Sport is stock on the day we picked it but now has a Teraflex leveling kit, Level 8 Tracker wheels and 33/12.50/15 Goodyear Duratracs.
And here is my new barn door shown in Anvil to match the Jeep to keep on topic.
Welcome to the forum!

My anvil sport is on its way to being a nice DD/Trail rig. RK 3.5" x factor lift, rancho shocks with 325/65-18 duratracs. Super quiet and comfortable on the road and I'm hoping it performs well offroad also. I'll be taking it to CO in less than 30 days!!
As you can see, I love anvil so much I added more!

Picking my Anvil Unlimited softie today! Can't wait. I bought a 2014 Cherokee and really wanted Anvil but not a TH, so bought silver. Liked it but there are sooooo many silver SUV's it's crazy. So decided then and there my next vehicle color wasn't going to be a normal everyday color.
When we decided to dump the Cherokee due to the crappy "not ready for prime time" tranny, it was going to be anvil for sure! BTW the Cherokee is a sweet ride if you are looking for GC luxury and amenities, and the V6 rocks. Just need Jeep to iron out the 9-speed problems.

|Jeepincanada||I just bought a 2014 in anvil. My kids have only seen pictures and they are calling it a jeep they forgot to paint!!! Primer and clear coat... Omg... Hope I didn't choose poorly. I am second guessing myself. I pick it up tomorrow and I hope its as awesome as I remember. I had never seen that color around here and naturally wanted something a little different.|

There she is! Baby needs new shoes, but these will have to do for a while. I happen to like my steelies, but would like to eventually get taller and slightly wider tires. So far, window tint, front slush mats, and trailer tow group has been added.
Personally, I think anvil is the perfect color for low and high lites, such as black running board and stainless steel light guards.
BTW - Newbie here. Hello, all!

Definitely not as dark as I'd hoped, but it'll work. I probably need to adjust a couple of the bungees again to realign the top so it doesn't droop so much.
I'm definitely more impressed with the Trek Armor we installed on my wife's Jeep today. If you are looking for a black sun shade, I'd go Trek Armor Super Shade.

So, the tan Spiderwebshade arrived today. I got home just in time to install it as the sunset, and pics in the garage won't do it justice. Definitely a lighter color than I had hoped for (really wanted it to be close to the Spice color of YJ's and TJ's soft tops), but the gray seemed to have the same problem (too light). I need to make some adjustments since the YouTube videos were made using a pre-2011 soft top. It also did not come with bungees to wrap around the sound bar....not sure how I want to approach that (it also had Velcro tabs over the holes there).
Will post a pic tomorrow...and in a few days I'll decide if I like it.

Rock rails did their job with little damage
My skid matches yours
And it was my lower control arm that took the brunt of the damage.

I totally agree with you on the stock skids, I have hits on all of them from one trail ride. Especially the gas tank skid. I'm thinking about getting a transmission/oil pan skid, don't like the fact it's all open there.
Looks like you had a blast though.

Well I picked up a new takeoff transmission bar last week because this is what mine looked like after Moab.
It was nice and straight and shiny but now it looks like this again. I think it's time to upgrade this one this time.
Got caught on a large rock on the right hand side, mangled the body mount gussets and added some new scrapes to my gas tank skid.
All in all stock skids help up great, I give the engineers at Chrysler some credit. Finally got stuck too, it was muddy after the buggies and I slid off this rock that high centered me.
