SirGeorgeKillian Back in the day we used to go down Sheep Island Rd to see how good our rigs were. After my buddy's K5 got stuck, and I got my Bronco stuck trying to pull him out, he got stuck just trying to get out. Long story short, we had to rent a bull dozer for an hour to get out of there. Man those were the days. Haven't been out that way in a while, I heard they were paving it...

smaxberry Also heard of some deep mud behind Yokoso's in north chuck. No signs if I remember correctly.

smaxberry In hanahan between Bi-low and Red Bank there is a road with some distributors, no trespassing signs all along the road, but if you go thru the last parking lot there us no signs. You can also get there from foster creek rd if you turn right by the church. No signs there either.

In Goose Creek: between N. Rhett and the navy base there is an old gas station called JPs there is a little path in the corner of their lot with no signs. Also at the extreme north end of N. Rhett it dead ends with a sign and chain supposedly held by a nail. Heard there are some gnarly trails back there.

The first 2 are mud. Goose creek pretty much swamp with quad trails. Hanahan mud paths with some that have the possibility of drowning your jeep. Goose creek trails are very light no winch or friend needed. Hanahan I hit by myself and almost got stuck twice. Lots of rocking to get free.

I don't have any recovery equip but happy to hit any trails with ya, just PM me. I am laid up for a while with a torn calf. But there is a video of a guy wheeling in lot behind a wal mart on the way to Folley Beach.

Robert haha that brings back some memories on light road, I got stuck there like 2 or 3 times and my buddys in a ford f250 had to get me out.

But anyways there were some areas by the Hatchery in Moncks Corner, I used to go offroading there all the time, but I don't know if you can still go over there...

kg4kpg Hey Lowcountry'ers. About the only place local you can do anything is the Francis Marion Natl Forrest. Check out and join the local forum there. These guys hit the forrest a lot plus do group trips up-state and out of state.

Charleston Area

Hey guys/gals, looking for places to go in and around Summerville, Goose Creek, Charleston Metro area. I don't think I want to risk Light Road without a winch and some floaties, haha, I've seen many pics of rigs beefier than mine up to the door handles in water out there. I've heard that there is someplace in Mt. Pleasant to get into the national park, but I can't find it. Seeing as how utility eavesments are "No Tresspassing" areas if you get busted I'd like to stay legal. Any ideas as to where to go?
