TJersey Welcome. Your Jeep looks pretty good for it's age and for being in a salt air environment. I like the colour.

Hello from the Cayman Islands - 1990 YJ 4.2

Hi all

Well I went out and bought myself a little island runaround... I needed something I can tinker around with and what better than a Wrangler... I used to have one about 10 yrs ago, it was a 93 4.0 typical island ex-rental; problematic soft-top, stripped out, hammered by tourists - but great fun!

Returning back to Cayman, this time I found this '90 4.2 Sahara hardtop for $2k which is the cheapest car I've bought in 20 years...

Body is in great shape, think the hardop helps (there's zero rust) but I wont be driving on the beach that much...

As it's not been subjected to rental drivers, the mechanics seem ok for almost 20-years old. Slight issue with idle speed and a/c causing high idling and/or stalling and pops out of 2nd on a downshift. I can live with these, but any tips welcomed.

Also doubles up as a good Westie-shelter

Buddy quickly found his spot...
