JeeperSter The ex always complained about how this was not a proper vehicle for us... there was more than just her bitching about the jeep, but so far...divorce papers were my best upgrade
..after a short time to catch up on $$.. I will freely spend on whatever and whenever I want something to grow my jeep into whatever I want

I'll likely get flamed from here to next week for this one and the crawlers won't even consider it an upgrade, but best one I have done to date is adding the Amp Powersteps. GraBars are a close 2nd.

Then a couple of things to protect the JKU from the family like sill guards and all weather mats.

Upgrades just for me so far are the Mopar gas cap cover and removing the Wrangler Unlimited stickers behind the front fenders. Oh... and I'm anticipating really liking the Synergy 3" lift, Helo 878 wheels, and 35" tires I ordered last week.
Just teasing You said you'd get flamed. It's your Jeep. You build it any way you want.

Scott2373 Definitely the Truck-Lite LED's and the "anti-flicker" harnesses! Since mine is a daily driver and will rarely, if ever, see much OH use I've made my Wrangler more highway friendly rather than off-road capable. Almost 50% of my driving is after sunset, so the TL's really make my life easier and safer! I even swapped out my fogs for some cheap Pilot LED's for $50 so they match the headlights! Other than that, I can't decide if I like my Auto Vent Shades or my OEM side steps better...I haven't smoked in 6 years, but when I did, the AVS' were indispensable, especially in rain and winter. Now they're nice to have to allow fresh air in when parked during inclement weather at work. The side steps give the Wrangler a "finished" look. Maybe because my Liberty had them from the factory I got used to seeing them, but when I picked up my Wrangler I knew I ws going to have to add them at some point because the sides of the Jeep looked incomplete, like something was missing between the fenders. Now it's all good and the wife can get in easier!

jkeith00 @Rusty - yeah... They make a drop extension for the powerstep. I might be looking in to that after the lift and tires go on.

Nah... You won't get flamed.
It's your Jeep, do with it as you please.

My biggest mod so far is rock rails...
Everything else is plastidip and stickers.

Once you get the lift, you might need airplane steps instead of those powersteps. LOL

sidewayz Disable the seat belt chime, disable hsa, one press to unlock all doors, all free that made it so much better. I would say mopar trans cooler so far, the install is clean and I am sure it will pay off in the long run. I haven't regeared, but I am considering it. 2010 3.73 35's

JAustin Wheels & tires for me, too. Bought a set of 2013 Rubicon takeoffs with 200 miles on them for $1,100 delivered, and sold my 2013 Sahara takeoffs with 800 miles on them for $900. An awesome upgrade for $200 net!

Second-best "upgrade" was to remove the silver cladding from the front & rear bumpers ... free after 20 minutes of sweat equity. Now the JKU is all Commando green & black!

My Spider webshade is now on its 3rd JKU, and stays on (or in) the vehicle at all times (we run the hardtop during the winter and summer (100+ degrees in central Texas) and the soft top in the spring and fall.

Next up: black 13" offroad antenna to replace the long, whippy silver OEM.

I'm in the market for a set of 2013 Rubicon 10A / 2014 Rubicon X takeoff bumpers, as soon as I can find someone within a reasonable distance who wants to part with theirs!

That's too scary for my taste. LOL

Mine would have to be plastidipping the wheels and adding little American flags to the sides.
That gave the Jeep a whole different look.
(Parking in the grass seems to help too.)

gbanga
fave upgrade

funny but my license plate bracket at the rear. didnt want it off centred nor did i want it off the spare cos it makes removing the spare too difficult.
i think my custom effort looks the bomb

what do you think??

Panther57 I had a great summer with my JK thanks to buying an OEM soft top off Craigslist. I love the hardtop too, but nothing beats taking the top completely off, along with the doors. And especially driving it topless and minus the doors on a warm summer night. You just don't want to park it!!!

ShaunWV I would say my first mod, 5.13 Yukon gears. I may have ran a little high on the RPM's for a couple months, but now it is right on.
09-09-2013 08:20 PM
UgaTyler Wheels and tires no doubt….I like most all of the mods I've done so far and I've spent some money on some nice stuff but without the wheels and tires it would just look plain.

ElectricJay For me, Wheels and tires.

zx6r lift/rims/tires... what else??? oh yeah, 4.88 gears. the final piece to the puzzle
09-09-2013 06:10 PM
rubisteph I think I'd have to say...... Spending the extra money for an JKU Anvil 10A....... Really.... I had promised my wife I wouldn't build my next Jeep like I did my old one..... Little did she know that the 10A has 90% of the stuff already on it ...lol
09-09-2013 05:55 PM
