|kawzak||Year model? There is a relay that controls fuel, ignition, and the lock-up of the torque converter (automatic shut down relay). This relay is controlled by output from Powertrain module. Power comes from Fuse # 6 and fuse # 11. If the crankshaft position sensor is going out-that may be it .I suggest buying a manual for your yr model-study the wiring and where/what sensors feed inputs to the engine control module. In the manual it will also give values of Ohm's of various switches/sensors-to tell if a switch/sensor is going bad.|

Lock up/ignition issue.
Hello Jeepers, my Jeep has an issue where right around 40mph I feel the lockup engage and disengage, also the engine will randomly die at a stop light, this only happens when the engine/transmission is hot, e.g. I have not experienced this anomaly in the morning, ever. I don't have any codes, my Jeep has 94k miles on it, 6cyl auto. I have been dealing with this for some time now, I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. I tried a diagnostics shop, my Jeep spent 2 days there and I received no answers. Is there a relationship between the lockup and the ignition? Have any of you delt with something like this before? I need help, any help will be extremely appreciated. Thanks,
