My friends are in one of those mini Cooper clubs. They said they are a blast. I'm sure we will enjoy your restore as much as you. You do a good job!

I don't know. All my cars are registered in Oregon since I'm a resident there. It used to be that we had to have both front and rear plates but the last time I registered a vehicle there it seemed like some vehicles didn't require both so I don't know. I'll find out in a few weeks when I go down to my parents for Christmas.

I can run the UK plates for 30 days. Beyond that it needs to have US plates. I am going to see what can be done about keeping the British plates or plate number or maybe a British plate on the front. Something to retain its heritage.

Yes it does. It's worse when your standing next to the Dodge and looking at the Mini. I had forgotten just how small that thing really is.

It was the only way I was able to seat the bead at home. We use an airblast at work to set the bead on large tires like that.

Yes, I plan on getting a custom fiberglass tonneau cover with hydraulic lifts like on the Jeep hardtop tailgate but that will be done when she is back in the states.

This is going to be one clean mini when you are finished with it. It's a shame that you won't be able to bring it to the States right away. In the mean time, you'll be able to find a great place to get the paint job done while you are waiting for your new kid to join you again.
Why thank you. I only have God and the USAF to thank for my abilities and training.

You think this project is nice? You should have seen my Jeep build. I don't have a thread for it but I have a butt load of pics. Have at em.

Ya, I'm going to miss her while I'm gone but she will be in good hands. She also might make this years London to Brighton run while being baby sat.

Coyote_94YJ In the UK it is common to see maybe 4-7 of them at a Mini show. It happens over here but not all that common. I did it because the rest of that Mini was about shot otherwise I wouldn't have. One of the things is British Motor Heritage makes all the body panels for Minis and someone could order all the panels to make a Mini trailer and not have to take a whole Mini off the road.

No. I have the tools and equipment but not the time so I had a friend of a co-worker do it up. He just got a new shop and is getting his business geared up. This is the first Mini trailer out of his shop.
