Never had anyone ask me what's wrong with mine from the sound of the supercharger.....whenever I pull up somewhere and people are standing around, the first thing I get asked is "what engine did you put under that hood?!" When I tell them it's the 3.8L factory engine, they reply, "NO WAY IT'S FACTORY!" Then I let them in on the secret that it's RIPP Supercharged and that the excitement begins!

|Gunner||Well My wife and I talked it over and we have started our Ripp fund. I think I am going to do this. I like the Vortec unit better than the other options. I know the Jeep tuning has been horrendous ever since Mercedes bought them, but the Chrysler 300 guys and the Grand Cherokee guys run ripp's with autos and they scream. My guess is that ours will too for what it is. It will always be a tall fat flying brick with a little watch winder V6 motor. But it will be a fun one.|

Currently running the RIPP SC on my 2012 rubicon at elevation and would like to discuss what others are experiencing.
I am at 5,200', 3 1/2" lift, 35" KM2's, and 4.88 gears
Overall love the way Jeep drives and sounds, but am experiencing a few very annoying problems and I would like to know if others are experiencing similar.
Problem #1: when first starting Jeep it typically bogs down in first and second gear. Best way to describe it is that it feels like the Jeep is bringing in more air then it can exhaust. Once Jeep has gone through the gears the problem goes away and Jeep drives fantastic. While I have learned to adapt it makes pulling out in traffic after startup an adventure at times.
Problem# 2: at random times when first starting Jeep wipers run (although they are off), all dash warning lights are active, and no dash gauges work. Problem is cleared by simply turning jeep off and restarting.
Overall a boosted 2012 is a great driving experience, but would sure value the feedback of others with blown 3.6l's at elevation.

Is there an option to delete the filter and connect to your snorkel and filter box instead on the 2013? Being in Florida we do a lot of water crossing and mudding and I don't want to get rid of my snorkel.
Also do you still have all the off road features of the Diablo Trinity with the charger? I have one and that is one of my concerns losing those options.

|jeepinit||i have had it on my 2013 jkur for several months now with magnaflow exhaust and unless you are stepping on it it sounds pretty much normal. Jet engine comes in to play when your foot goes down. have to admit foot is in it a lot as it is amazing|

Can anyone that has the kit tell me if it's really noisy on a stock JK? With standard Exhaust? I have heard that with a CAT-BACK, it can sound like a jet Engine.

I ordered the 2014 Kit today! Chris with RIPP told me it was released today.
Thanks for the followup.
I'll keep everyone posted on the install once I receive it!

Is the 2014 JK kit the exact same as the 12-13 kit with the exception of the tuning via the Diablo Unit?
If yes, can the SC kit be purchased now for the 2014 and one just wait until the tune update is released for the 2014?
How much longer is the discount code gonna work?
I want one for my 2014 NOW!!!
Good work on the units so far!

|NFRs2000NYC||If you don't wheel just stick 5.13s in your 10A and you should be pretty happy with 35s. If you are still not happy then consider a blower. Do the mods in the proper order. Sounds to me like you bought the wrong vehicle for your needs.|

|Lowerumble||I don't know what to tell you. I have the SC and it performs just as I expected (with a few tuning issues still) and I am happy with it. But, I just don't think it fits the bill for what you are expecting of asking for. I think with your history of those quick cars, you are just bound for a little dissapointment if you throw on 35s at least... Maybe with stock size tires, it may feel quicker, or with a 35s and 4.88s, but then you are delving in even further. A blown jeep IS awesome, for what it is, but is never going to feel "sick". Maybe check what the used 10A market looks like and sell it yourself. I'll bet you would be stoked with a couple year old SRT Grand Cherokee. Now those things are SICK!|

STis(3 of them), merc c63 amg so I guess good sports cars. It's rubi with 4.10s. I had a old Cherokee and YJ so this is my first nice jeep/wrangler. I always wanted one and convinced myself to do so....right now the value of the 13 10a trade in is about 32k what I'm being told. So trade in really isn't an option without loosing a ton.
I really don't want to get rid of the vehicle. It looks awesome but I seriously I don't Use it for wheeling at all. I figure the price of the SC on sale now and $850 install would make it better to drive around. From what I been reading. I know it won't be that drastic of a change. But a little more power would be nice.
I had a hemi for a minute and that thing rolled. Can't and won't afford a swap. I guess I was just hoping to hear that a blown jeep is awesome. I think with more power these things can be sick.

Take it to the dealership and have them run diagnostics on the engine. An auto and manual should have plenty of power to accelerate pretty good with the 32s, even with a 3.73 gear ratio.
Like the previous poster said, if you think the jk is underpowered stock, you should honestly not do any weight adding mods. I don't think a supercharger and larger tires will make you change your perception of acceleration and speed. Maybe a supercharger by itself may help.
You then have to consider the supercharger cost plus installation if you are not doing it yourself, and compare it with the difference of trading it in for something else or selling it and then getting what you want. As it stands, the supercharger costs roughly $6,000. Have you done the comparison already?

Is this super charger awesome? I'll be honest I hate how slow the JK is. I know it's not meant to be a sports car, whatever. But it's border line dangerous how slow it is under normal driving.
I have a '13 10a and I can't trade it in bc the depreciation. So I was looking at installing this blower and going to 35s....
Someone convince me
