Rogue Oh yeah, mine is a 2002 TJ, and that line is on the passenger side of the Jeep.

Rogue X2 on the vacuum leak. Find the line that "Ts" just behind your battery, and follow it down. You will have to get underneath your Jeep. That line will drop down and go into the fender into about 3" of rubber 2/16" tubing, and then plug into a black in color, plastic box.

Unplug that 3" long piece of rubber tubing and examine it closely for cracks or splits. You will find that you probably have to trim off about 1/2" of cracked rubber hose. Push it back onto the nipple on the plastic box, and BOOM you have properly working air vents.

I followed vacuum hoses and zip tied vacuum hoses onto fittings for nearly 6 months before I found this. My heat and A/C would change airflow directions, or stop, if I accelerated. I was told the air door was broken, but it was not. I was told the vacuum was leaking at the manifold, but it was not...

Hope this helps. It sure is nice to have good warm heat that blows where I want it to, when I want it to!!

chucky cheese You have a vacume leak. The flap stays in the defrost position until you select another such as floor or vent. the vacume created by the engine controls the flap through small vacume lines. When you have a leak there is not enough vacume to hold the flap to desired setting and it goes back to the defrost position. Start under the hood and check your vacume lines. Mine were broken in my Ram van due tu heat and age under the hood.

handsome81 I have a Jeep Wrangler Sport 2003. The Air operates when I turn it on to the window and floor fine but when I direct it to the face no air comes out and it sounds like it is blocked.

My vents work weird. They will blow air out if on setting 1 and under 2000 rpm. They will not blow air out if over 2000 rpm or any higher fan settings. The defroster will blow at any speed and any rpm. I took my dash apart and was still lost on what I was trying to find? Anybody have a good write up or atleast a picture or the parts I am getting too? I will do a write up for the tj if someone is whiling to help!
