Preat Yeah, my CD player never works in the morning if I leave any of the windows out. If I keep all the windows on it will work just fine. I guess moisture from the air gets to it. It wouldn't really bother me much if it weren't for the fact that our local radio stations are lame!

Felsengleiskette Yes I have the same type of stuff happen... My soft seal along the bottom of my windshield is old so my jeep seeps water in.water travels down the firewall and into my components. most times my speakers short out (or at least wont play until dry ) Mine is a sony explod w/ detachable face. I left my top down and have even suffered an over night storm soaking everything with 3 inches of standing water in the jeep.(until I opened my boat plug drains!!!!) when vI bought the jeep (used) it had a popped radio .

khenderson change your radio!!!! i had an alpine(before it got jacked) that had been through at least 3 good storms and it continued to work. oh wasn't mounted in the was in a tuffy center console with the cover off, so it was getting direct rain. granted, i did have to take it out a couple of times and take it apart to let it dry, but it was a champ.

Radio and moisture

My radio $h!+ the bed on my two month old 2005 TJ. Last night was the first time I left the soft top off (outside) over night. It didn't rain and the low temps were in the high 70s or low 80s. This morning the CD and the AM part of the radio worked. But all the channels on FM were just static. This afternoon after work, the FM (as well as the CD and AM) worked fine. I wonder if a little dew or moisture could have got in the radio and then dried out during the high 90 degree day. Has anyone else had anything like this happen?
