I replied to you other thread, so check that out. To answer you question about max ratio I am ALMOST positive you can go to at least 5.38. I know or a FACT that you can go 5.13's with your carriers.

dawhitesJKU that might be your best option if your not planning to upgrade ur tires or add more weight to your jeep. regearing is pretty expensive but way worth it.

Easy, plug it in, tell it new tire size, let it do its magic. Follow prompts. Like turn Jeep to on then wait then off. Not hard at all.

Neral22 I have a 2009 with 3.73 gears and 33" tires. I bought a superchips flash paq and it was like night and day with shift points. Much more tolerable and $300 was cheaper than the $1500+ for regear. It no longer jumps to OD on and off on highway. If you plan to go bigger, you will want the regear. Good luck!

Call Chrysler, give them the VIN. I believe they can send you the build sheet.

Sorry, I just realized you have a 2011. That engine is a dog to begin with. I had an 2008 with stock tires and 3.73. Had no power.

Yeah, you will probably be better off regearing. or you can trade it in for a 12-14, problem solved....

NYJETS The stock gears are 3.21, 3.73 an upgrade. Check your window sticker or build sheet. If you have the max tow package you will have at least 3.73. I have 295/70/17 Nitto Grapplers with 3.73 and a 2.5" lift with no problems.

Those are small 33's so either way you will be fine. re-gearing not needed.

dawhitesJKU Start searching local shops. Regearing varies in price depending on the shop...anywhere from 1000-1500. Too low a gear will result in poor dd performance with ur tires, however will be able to run a bigger tire setup. For ur setup, I would look into the 4.56 gearing. A lil shorter than the stock rubis but that's the next available gearing for ur jeep besides the stock 3.21,3.73. I have a similar setup as urs however I have a 2012. I'm still able to use cruise control.

Thanks in advance for your help. I am a bit confused about what I should do and there seems to be a lot of different opinions on this subject. I have a 2011 JKU Sahara which I put a Teraflex Level kit on and 33" 285/70/17's on. Love the look and the lift. I drive a lot of highway/ interstate miles but occasionally take it mudding/trailing in Central Ill. Since the 33"s which actually measure 32", I have lost a lot of "pep". I have read that 3.73 's come stock. For my usage, what should I regear with? Where should I buy the kit? Wll regearing help with maintaining speed on the highway? Cruise control bouncing gears.
