I hear ya KC. I'm not sure when exactly, that Chrysler quit offering the Half Doors, but I didn't see them on ANY of the Jeep Dealer Lots I visited. NADA! I LOVE 'em! I'm "HOPING" that Chrysler starts making them again soon. I heard that MAYBE... something is in the works within the next month. We'll see! I'd like to have a set of the Factory Half Doors, and keep these as spares, but I'll wait until the price comes down a lot lower.

Like the Dual Tops, Chrysler should have also offered Dual-Doors as an option. I'd have bought the Dual-Doors if they had been offered. To me, Full Doors for the Winter Season, and Half-Doors for the rest of the year!

HEY FIAT & CHRYSLER..... YOU FOLKS READING THIS???

Cheers!

I've seen a few of the earlier year JK's with Factory Half Doors on the Forums, but nothing when I went shopping. I checked with my Dealer, and they don't offer the Factory Half Doors anymore. Not sure why. But... you can go to the Parts Department, and "Build Your Own", piece by piece, but it's ridiculously expensive. For example, "ONE" Outer Door Shell, is $900!

Last month, I placed a Want Ad for Factory JK Half Doors on Craigslist, in four major cities in Texas. I received one response from a Gent in Tenn, and he was asking $2,500 with the Upper Doors included. WOW! I'll keep looking!

Cheers!

I just tried that too! Funny thing is, it doesn't specify what the Half Doors are. When you look at Jeep Accessories, it lists the Half Doors with a Bestop Part Number. When you cross that number, it comes back to the same Part Numbers that I bought from Quadratec, which is the Bestop Highrock Kit.

Hmmmm! Is DC not going to make Stock Half Doors anymore? Was there a problem with the Half Doors on past Models, that had too many "Water Leak Complaints"? Was the Full Door, DC's answer to fixing Water Leak Complaints?

To me, Half Doors make a Jeep look like a Jeep, while the Full Doors make a Jeep look like a Truck. I wanted the Doors that they showed me in the brochure...

If and when I can find a set of Factory Stock Half Doors... at a reasonable price... then I'll get them. Until then... my Bestops will do just nicely!

Cheers!

Can you post a pic of your Lower & Upper Doors? I'm assuming you have the Highrock Element Tube Doors. If there are three round holes in the top tube of your doors, then the Upper Doors should fit in there. The Element Enclosure Panels, just attach to the Tube Doors, via 2 hooks on the bottom of the panel, and are held together by the mirror and door latch.

Thanks!

Cheers!

Actually, if you were to buy the Factory Upper Windows, they run close to $500 a set. I don't believe that they would fit the Bestop Doors. The Bestop Upper Door Windows, have three round posts that slide into three holes in the Tube Doors. The front and rear posts have an Adjustable Slider, to Adjust the Window tilt front or back, to allow for a good fit and seal.

Cheers!

Actually it's a Diving Officer pin, it would be a Master Diver pin if it was silver.

Lemmee see, 4 x $776-ish = $3,106 OUCH!! Blackbeard you are gonna cost me a bundle. Is that anyway for one seafarer to treat another?
NOOOOOOO! Sorry, if I wrote it that way. The $776 was for both Front Doors, not just one Door. So, you're looking ballpark, $1,552 for a set of 4..... unless you have 2 Unlimited's, that is! In that case, do yours first, and ask the wifey if she likes it, that you'll do hers too!

Blackbeard1718 JK'N!

Here ya Go:

Quadratec Element Doors For JK Unlimited (Link)

Also, here are a few shots I took when I got home this afternoon, with the top down. Geoff, if you need some more with better lighting, just let me know. It's gonna be nice out tomorrow and Saturday.

When I had it out in the sunlight today, I did see some small gaps from the inside, where the weather stripping didn't cover all of the spaces. So, a quick trip to O'Reilly's Auto Parts, and I picked up some Peel-N-Stick Door Seal. Gaps' gone! I don't intend to put the Full Doors back on... ever... so I'm not worried about the Weather Stripping being in the way.

Cheers!
