Towed my 2000 TJ for the first time

After reviewing info on the forum I installed a tow bar on my new to me TJ and towed it about 500 miles round trip. Towed like a dream with no issues. Transfer case in neutral, auto trans. in park, and one click on the ignition.

I used a Reese Tow power bar bolted thru the stock bumper and the frame. I used tow cables from my F150 and chains bolted to the bar and hooked over aftermarket tow hooks with spring loaded locks on the Jeep. Also bought a magnetic tow light setup from Harbor Freight.

The jeep is not a daily driver and I wanted to pull it home from the coast to do some tinkering in my shop where I have all on my tools.

It will be towed twice a year back and forth from the coast. Thanks to WF for all of the info.
