|Atthehop||I guess they just don't make them like they used to, my YJ went 200K without every needing anything like this. Like I say in the office, lowest bidder never gets you the best product. IMO I would never buy a Chrysler, the only reason I purchased the TJ was it was not completely screwed up by them but they are getting close. Look at the other products they make...all pieces of junk. We have thousands of them and I can guarantee that.|

|Jerry Bransford||Bad oil pressure senders are common. Mine went bad and gave me intermittent zero oil pressure indications near midnight on an unlit deserted desert road outside of Las Vegas 35 miles from my destination. My TJ was near new and it scared the crap out of me since I wasn't aware how common bad senders were yet.|

Oil Gauge Went to Zero
Started to go to work this morning and my oil gauge dropped to zero. I think it's the sender because there is no valve tap or knocking noise. Lucky for me I was just 1/2 block away and ran it back into the driveway.
But I am leaving for a long weekend with the wifey and will not be able to check it out until the weekend after this weekend. (It's dark when we leave in the morning and dark when we get home, sucks) Going to order a sending unit from the dealer, I get parts wholesale from the stealership cheaper that the local autoparts stores. It pays to work for a company that buys over 250,000 cars a year. (not a typo)
Anyone else have this problem with a 2004 4 cyl.
