Right now i am manufacturing them in China and are not up to the standard that I wanted. Saying that, I reduced the price to a point that they will sell. If they were perfect they would sell for over $350.00. I discount for this forum. You can contact me at egw118@yahoo.com for price. Check out how much replacement windows go for and you will see how good my price is.

Thanks Ed
But keep in mind that starting with the 2013's, the tops are offered in a different material. Will the twill be offered?

I know there is a full netting back if the whole soft top is off, but I'm looking for a zip in rear window.

I've been searching the web, but no luck yet, and thought somebody might be able to nudge me in the right direction...

GBR.R, do you still have them on your JKU? How are they working out?

panthermark The crewwindows would be sweet, but they need to be updated for the +2011 size, and especially for the mew premium top materials.

ewaldhelm Check out crewwindows.com or ebay under Jeep Jk windows. There is also a youtube video under Jeep Jk dog windows. They fit 2007 to 2010 windows sides and rear windows. 2011-2013 side windows do fit, but you need to call Crew Windows at 732 908 0133 and take a simple measurement.
08-30-2013 12:23 AM
GBR.R I have used them, but they don't fit well as not designed for my JK. I would of used them more if the rear actually fitted at all. I think they need a little more development.

H8_MUD I'm looking at these and seriously considering them. Any more reviews?

GBR.R Ok update, I have spoken to the manufacture and these windows do not fit the 2013 but only upto the 2010 model. You could use these windows to keep cargo in place and for Camping.
07-24-2013 08:18 PM
doyledist Pardon the ignorance of this but are they just used for dogs? What else could they be used for? Ideas?

kmusk01 Hmmm these look interesting. Are you able to leave the new back window in and use the sunrider part of the top?

Can you put the top down without having to take any of the windows out?

GBR.R Windows arrived, well there are not bad of course they are not factory made so don't expect this, def home made but he has done ok. My JKU is a 2013 and the windows don't actually fit exactly as the zippers do not do fully up, I am hoping that they will stretch (my factory ones took a few weeks to fit properly). Will let you know how things go when I take the dogs out tomorrow.
07-19-2013 12:45 PM
GBR.R Don't think that the top can come down just like the regular windows. I have not seen the quality yet hope they are ok, I take my dogs out everyday so hope hey work. I liked the look of the safari nets but there are just too many holes that one of my Beagles that is an escape artist could use to get out. If the cargo nets could attach to the window track in the tub and then to the back bar then they might of worked. I have not seen any review of he crew windows so I will pass on how they perform.
07-19-2013 12:27 PM
panthermark Those look nice....
Considering some...
Is it possible to drop the top without fully removing the side windows? A premium/Twill version is needed as well.
07-19-2013 11:58 AM
GBR.R Just bought a set to keep my Beagles contained and happy. Hope the Quality is good as these are a great idea. Looked to make my own from some second hand windows but could not find any under the price of what Crew windows are charging. Will let you know how they go.

Olsen185 My wife has these windows and she loves them. She takes the dogs out a lot and these windows allows the dogs plenty of fresh air and keeps them contained as well

JeepHerz Just got my Safari Straps! Pleasantly surprised at how well made these are. The stitching in excellent and the buckle part is metal- not cheap plastic. They even include small plastic clips to hold the (floppy) end of the strap in. I'll probably order something for the back too. They look nice enough that I'll probably just leave them on most of the time vs. just for dog days.

Spera Well, it seems that I may be onto something, here... Found a system called CoolK9, I've asked them for a price estimate (including delivery to France...). They are based in California, here's more details

CoolCop

If it works, I won't need to remove the windows any more - Seypah and her soon-to-join-us sister Kissah will be all comfy in their space !

JeepHerz I ran across a bungee-type cargo net at Walmart for $9.99 (automotive section). It fits the rear of the Jeep perfectly. You can easily strap it to the roll bars and use it as a screen in lieu of windows. It works on the sides but will need a little extra rigging because its too long. A dog could get their paws stuck in it and its only as secure as you bungee it but if you're on a budget...
Together that makes them $30. I am still ordering the Spidershades for mine for $100 because I want extra security for off-roading- but this is a cheap option.

Don't use bungees in place of safari straps. Even strapped tightly they'll move. You can order Safari straps alone and rig the same thing. Just not something you want to do frequently.
I am ordering the Safari strap nets but you can:
Buy a leash that has a "traffic handle" like this one.
The Grrrip 2 in 1 Dog Leashes in Black at PETCO
Push/fold your seat forward. If your seat locks- great. If not bungee it to the side bars. PLace a short (usually blue) bungee between the metal u-type brackets on the bottom of the seat. Loop/put the "short" handle on the leash through this bungee. This will strap the dog in- and be just long enough for them to lay down, sit and move around a little. But they won't be able to reach the side wheel wells. You can do this set-up using a harness- just buy one with a leash hook on it.
It works well but since we take our dog out a lot (and on trails) I'm forking over the bucks for something more secure.
By the way: Spidershade makes a mesh side-shade now. Its $99 for the pair. I personally don't like it because its solid mesh- but I do wonder if its more secure..

Lowerumble Waiting to hear from anyone with generic as well.
07-13-2012 03:48 PM
JeepHerz Anyone used the generic Safari strap model? Our pint sized Sheppard mix is really good- I don't need the 2" straps. The non-Jeep generic ones are cheaper.
1" Utility Net - Medium
Is that what you have Daggo 66?

Spera Darn, just got word back from my favourite parts salesperson (a very friendly lady in the UK, where parts are much cheaper than in France, and they have a larger choice too). It seems the idea I wanted hasn't been materialized yet. Darn, Land Rover has that part, why can't Jeep do sumthin for our buddies ?

As a reminder, this is what I'm talking about:

Freelander Window Dog Guard - Genuine Land Rover at www.rimmerbros.co.uk

And just run a Web search on STC53047 if you need more details. I can definitely see this part being built and installed on our tailgates (with the rear window open, unless Jeep decides to change the shape of the roll bar, and makes it in the same right-angle fashion as on the three-door Jeeps ?
07-10-2012 07:38 AM
Spera Hi there fellow Jeep Owners !

I hope this therad ain't dead, because I have the same question... And the Safari straps just won't do, cuz I have a German Shep in that trunk of ours. She's too tall for the sloped netting, not to forget that we're soon going to have a second one...

The idea of replacing the rear window with a custom version sounded good to me at first, but on my model the rear window is all glass - and it also includes the rear wiper engine...

Any other ideas, anyone ?

And by the way, I'll post a picture of the young lady in her pullman, if only I could understand the technique for posting a pic here...
