OverkillYJ What I have on hand is anywhere from 8-12 gauge. That is a little bit more overkill then I would like. Since it is just a signal, and not a large amp draw like a Fan or something I want to keep it thin, I will ony go one size larger at most. I am going to wrap it tight and tuck it away as much as possible.

harleydragon I have no idea but a little large gauge will not hurt anything..I like using a little large. That way if over the years a few strands break from movement or vibration then you are still good to go.I have always used a little larger than harley did on the custom bikes I build and never have wiring problems

Wire Gauge for VSS

I need to replace some wire for my VSS harness. Anyone know what gauge it is? I am guessing 18, but I would like to replace it with exactly the same gauge. I only have thicker gauge on hand for things I have done in the past. I will be buying a large roll for future use since I bet it is probably the same gauge in most harnesses.
