SHAWN3R Nice work. Did you do the design and fab?

hes4all Outside width from tire to tire is 83" rims are 31/2" back spacing. I can't remember the wms to wms. I think it was 64-66". I will measure for you tomorrow.

The tire don't rub in the front because we cut the front of the frame rails off about 16" and then ran straight out. Look at this picture and you will see.

With this there will be more than enough clearance. I will have to be careful not to turn it too far.

SHAWN3R What is the axle width? Tire backspacing?

I tried to buy that red LJ but they wanted a lot for a salvage title. I loved the look of land cruiser and jeep mixed together.

It's home-made. I never liked the Jeep factory hardtops, so I designed this one with the features and styling I thought a proper Jeep hardtop should have, made molds, and molded it in fiberglass in my home garage. It's modular, so the side panels are removable; there are both hard sides and soft sides and it's also got a full rear "barn door" for easy access to the cargo area.

My plans right now, which are subject to change as I do more researching, are a savvy/currie 4" lift, 1" bl mml and tummy tuck, 35s, 4.88s, tom woods ds, upgraded steering/brakes, warn 9.5, front and rear bumpers (maybe warn, but undecided) with the tire carrier. That's about as far as I want to go with it while it's my DD but I'm looking forward to letting the flood of mods begin.

Little update:

I've added jcr front and rear bumpers/tire carrier, warn 9.5 cti, Metalcloak 3.5" arb lift, 1.25" bl, mml, novak tc shifter cable and 35" mtrs...

I've found that softopper to be a very versatile option so far.

And thanks for the compliments hommies........... the wife actually just came back from an overnight beach trip driving the LJ. She commented that her hand was tired from waving back at all the jeeps on the way home......"the old jeeps like yours.... not the new ones... they all keep their tinted windows up and the AC blasting."
Thanks for the info dude, much appreciated.
I've been educating my wife about waving and the older the jeep the more likely you'll get a waive back, and not to bother with the mall cruising JK's.
