I got my 8.8 and regear done by Josh at SFF customs in Parker...great turnaround time and great work. I've been on the gears, axle, and chromoly shafts for the last 1000 miles or so. Did a front and rear diff fluid change on saturday with zero metal shavings and all is good.
So, moral of the story is i'll vouch for SFF...he did a bunch of work for me over the last month. Will be goin back there as well on the next "stage" lol

|DocFuller||Has anybody mentioned RnR Off Road just off Academy and Pikes Peak (W)? James will treat you great and try and work with your budget. He gives all kinds of good advice and is pretty well-connected, too.|

Thanks for the help everyone. Hopefully I can get this HEEP situated so I can actually hit a trail before the snow get's here. I have a feeling it's coming early this year. I've always wanted to do some snow wheeling. If nothing else, maybe I can make a snow run this winter.

|BreckenridgeYJ||Crawlertech would be my first choice..... Sff customs is probably the cheapest.... Ironically both are owned by a Josh..... Moral of the story, have a child, name them Josh and in another 2 decades they will probably be able to set you up!|

I would personally get the gears from whatever shop is doing the work! That way EVERYTHING is covered under THEIR warranty.
If the gears blow how do you prove it was bad installation but the installer says NO! It was YOUR bad set of gears! You could end up paying for everything again.
If they were FROM the installer then it doesn't matter if there is a problem it should be covered! Just my 2 cents...

Where to get gears installed in the Springs
Hey guys, so I'm planning on getting a new set of gears (found a pretty good deal online) and was wondering if anybody has had any experience with getting gears installed at any of the local shops here in the Springs? Was it a good or bad experience/price? Or if anybody (that knows how to) would be interested in making some $ and installing them for me? This is one thing I do NOT want to screw up, so I would rather someone else do it as I have no idea what I would be doing.
Thanks for any info
