Crazyndn Nevermind, figured it out...

Crazyndn Your pictures didn't post up. I was hoping this would solve a similar question. More so along the lines that I'm going to be running with some Banks Torque Tubes and wanted to know if there was any aftermarket support for the downpipe area of the exhaust. Strangely, Banks does offer the exhaust that would be from after the cat->exit, but not from the header to the cat(if you use one). When I asked around 14 people from there, all of them said there wasn't any plans on making one at the moment.

I have an '03 Sahara, has the same configuration as the magnaflo picture...the first two cylinders or canisters right off the header are not concidered cats, they are called something else and I cannot remember what the name was. The muffler guy said he has never had to change them out, didn't seem to give a problem. They do have o-2 sensors on them and removing them will screw up the fuel/air ratio. The actual catalytic converter (on mine) does not have an o-2 sensor. Since I had about 78K on my TJ, the cat was probably about used up and with all the ethanol fuel out there eating up engines and exhaust systems, I removed the cat and the original muffler and installed a turbo type free flow muffler only. It made a noticable difference, lots less restriction on the exhaust. I also have opened up the air intake.

350chevrolet my 2000 is like the top one. its 2 cats, not resonators. my jeep doesnt have the 2000 engine any more tho, now its a 2003 motor so im not sure if the downpipe came off the 2000 setup or the 2003 setup. i dont remember if i replaced that or not when i did the motor.

Texasdeere Well I can't find the above part now anywhere so I guess it is discontinued.

Shows only this one for 1997-99 4.0 Wranglers:

Magnaflow Downpipe 2006 Wrangler

I have a few questions about this picture.

This picture looks exactly like my 2006 4.0 exhaust manifold to converter pipe. The ad is for a 2000-03 highflow coverter.

Is the wrong picture being used?

Are those 2 cat converters or 2 resonantors in the picture?

Does my Jeep have 3 cats?

What year did Wrangler 4.0's start using the double downpipe off the manifold?
