jdj143 Any other ideas anyone?

jdj143 I don't think I applied any excessive grease. I used "some" white lithium on the shaft cover where the throwout assembly slides on and a put some on the pivot points at the 2 ends of the fork.

I almost was thinking I didn't use enough grease?

Jerry Bransford Could you have applied a little excessive grease anywhere like on the splined input shaft or the throwout bearing actuator mechanism so it could have perhaps sprayed out and gotten in between the clutch disk and flywheel?

Clutch Issues

I just replaced the clutch in my 2000 TJ Sport with a Beck/Arnley clutch kit. I also replaced the master/slave pre-bled combo.

Luckily everything works after I put it all back together, however I'm having a few issues that hopefully someone can help me out with.

The pedal is very smooth when first starting the jeep but after it gets warm (10 minutes) the pedal becomes sticky making it more difficult to get going. It starts to depress and then sticks a little so I have to release more pressure, then it shoots out at once. It probably looks like I don't know how to drive a standard.

The other thing I've noticed is that when the pedal is let out, it gives a little whine, even at idle. It only whines at the last maybe 3/4 pedal. When the clutch is pressed in there is no sound and all the way out to 3/4 there is no whine, it's just that last 1/4.

Any ideas? This is driving me nuts!
