stepback999 No guages jumping, starts fine, speedo works.
The Transmision is slipping. I've heard that sometiems when this happen the computer needs to be flashed or reset or something.
Could the clicking and the slipping both be caused by the coomputer trying to reclaibrate?

clicking

When you start hearing the clicking - feel the steering column just in front of the steering wheel on top. Can you feel the clicking like when the turn signals are on? I have the same problem on my 2006 LJ. The local Jeep Service tech said it was a bad relay or something in the turnsignal switch - but everything works fine. Does it do it on ACC without the engine running? The service tech kinda scared me in regard to how long it might take to find out what's making the relay click. Mine comes & goes when I'm driving down the road and there is no consistancy to the sequence between clicks. I was worried about a fire hazard, but the tech said between the circuit breakers & fuses - that would eliminate a wiring fire. I have not yet taken it back to them yet. Smitty

JDsDream When are you hearing it and is there anything else going on at the same time. Are your guages jumping? Does your speedo work? Does the Jeep start normally? Sometimes this is caused by the system trying to recalibrate itself due to a bad connection somewhere. Give a little more info and maybe these guys can help
