JIMBOX I've had the Flowmaster 40 DUAL catback for almost a year, I installed it just forward of the EVAC CAN and ran the duals back from there

It has a throaty (for a v6) sound and a nice decelerating rap

No difference in power

Hilldweller Yes, it is possible to lose some torque and HP with a different can installed.
Backpressure is a balancing act. Too little and you lose the drawing effect; too much and you constrict the system.

jk2007 Yeah I looked at them all...will run this one awhile and see how it does and then reconsider my options

USAntigoon Did you reviewed the other more aggressive ones like MBRP prior deciding to go with the Flowmaster..?MBRP

jk2007 Yeah I have had it for three years...thinking now I am just hearing how weak it really is...and as far as sound goes nothig to really write home about sounds ok sitting still thats about it

The stock engine performance is what it is...Indeed, the only thing you might gain is some more aggressive sound...

Flowmaster 40 on JK

I am new to this site...may be a stupid question...so I have had my JK for three years now and decided this week to go with a new muffler..wanted a more aggressive sound than the go kart stock engine..the guy at the muffler shop said he could get it tucked up nice and neat in the stock location which he did..nice clean line back there now...I did not expect any great gains in power or fuel..did not do it for that reason...I have had it on the Jeep for 2 days now..just curious if anyone else who went with this setup noticed any power loss on the bottom end..kind like less torque..or do I need to give the muffler time to break in..if mufflers do that..I have 4.10 with 35's..never semmed to be an issue before
