Yes, it's strong. Stock it handles up to 35's. Imitations attach to the tailgate for strength. The Bestop attaches to the roll cage inside and to the lower body mount. No weight is put on the tailgate.

The thing I like about it is to open the tailgate you just open it like it was stock - pull open the stock tailgate latch and open it. The Bestop swings out with the tailgate. . No fumbling, no pins, no clamps - just open it.

If you want to go to a heavier bigger tire it's easy to strengthen them too.

just curious who has this and likes it, any pro's / cons.. would love a few pics, and would like to know if its really strong and easy to use.. is there something better for about the same price, i like this because at least i dont have to get rid of my bumper that i already have..
