The factory steering was not offset but if you are doing performance changes you very well may. Most people do it for wheel offset clearance or diff cover clearance but any serious suspension seems to crowd the steering out...

Dan Fredrickson Its funny, I just read another Venders add about their steeringThey claim it has 1 ton strength with the small taper (5/8") TRE pin's... The stronger pin is at least half the reason you make the switch to true 3/4" taper...
