Jeeper2 Check your U-Joints. I had a pick up that would do it every once and awhile, Turned out to be U-Joints. Very easy to check. Are they the original U-Joints?

Rear end pop/clunk

When i'm driving along and I start going up a hill and I don't down shift and I give it gas (not paying attention messing with the radio or something) the engine will start to sputter which is expected but the rear end will pop/clunk. I know it's not good to do that and I usually don't but it has happened a few times for whatever reason. What's the pop/clunk? gears skipping or something?
