Vaultzz ↑ or if you want to try and save a few bucks you could attempt replacing the solenoid, but only if your comfortable doing that yourself

snwchris One way to tell if it's the Solenoid of the starter, is have a friend help you start the Jeep. While one is inside, the other person would be jumping the solenoid terminal with a piece of wire. Make sure not to touch or hit the metal frame, since could arc as well.

If it starts by jumping the solenoid, then time to replace starter.

Possible starter problem?

yesterday i drove my jeep, shut it off, left for ten miniues and came back. I tried to start it again and it sounded like the battery died, the barely turned over once truned over once and then slowed and died, but i hadnt left my lights on or anything else electronic. I coundnt get it started by using a jump pack, couldnt get it started by jumping it off. Checked battery connections, corrosion free. When i turn the key, it gives me absolutely nothing, doesnt even click. Then i pull started it, and it ran fine. Could this be anything else besides the starter? I was told by a friend that it is specifically the solenoid of the starter. Does this seem right?
