Your first few times out go with some experienced Jeepers. They'll show you the proper way to offroad. Try joining a club or a loose affiliation of offroaders.

Joxwar I have definitely watched a few of those, and I will apply brake as necessary. Though, to be honest, I was very impressed with how intact most of the Jeeps remain, along with their drivers.

mommymallcrawler I am a newb too and just posted a similar thread in the JK Forum. I plan to join a local club - I know there are lots of them here. I live in Arizona. Someone in my thread posted a nice YouTube of what looks to me like a nice fairly beginner trail. Good luck! Also I think what I will do is make sure I either have someone with me or someone knows where I am lol just in case - or pick a well populated trail at least to start.
