Awesome, you can tell I live in the 350' above sea level. I'm just a low life. Hahaha. Thanks for all the replies. I'm not gonna worry about it then.

c5wagner Well shoot, I thought you were talking a 7500ft plus elevation change like I'm used to, you should be completely fine without adjustment

I agree, no adjustment needed. I drove my jeep from sea level to well over 6,000 ft with only a slight loss in power.

For the Smokies, I doubt you will have to re-jet, they just aren't very tall...most are in the 3000 ft range, if that.

I drove my carb'd jeep (MC2100) up from Florida (sea level) to Boone, NC (3300 ft)...and it ran fine.

Thanks, I'm pretty inexperienced with carbs. How do you adjust the mixture screws with a vacuum gauge?

When I had a weber 32/36 on my toyota, I would advance the timing by about 2* for every 3-4 thousand feet, adjust the mixture screws with a vacuum gauge when I got to my location to save on fuel, and increase the idle a little bit

OUJeep2 Loading my YJ up and trailering it about 6 hours to visit my brother in the smoky mountains to go wheelin with him and his TJ Here is my set up: 88 YJ 4.2l auto transmission Has 32/36 weber carb and has been nuttered. No catalytic converter 4" lift with 32" tires Now, here is my question. I live at a very low elevation relatively speaking. I will be going to a very high elevation to the mountain tops. Will I need to re-jet this carb or adjust my timing for higher elevation or will it run well enough?
