|TLATEOTW||i bet everyone else thinks that we install machine guns in the back of the wrangler for some war|

i agree, with you
I agree that its hard to get a clean Wrangler in Lebanon.
i bought mine last week, 1989.
which also im going to sell now. I prefer bying new model from start

|JimmyJazz||Right, i guess i was VERY lucky with mine, since i didn't take any of these precautions|

Lionel, i am new to this and i got screwed big time. however luckily, before i started to modify my jeep, I was introduced to xtreme 4x4 people and they advised me to sell it and get another one. The current TJ runs good but it turned out to have a frame damage so i dont want to spend money on a jeep like this. I need a clean one!
So i will sell it and wait a couple of months to find a clean one. bottom line, if you want to buy a wrangler in beirut, show it to xtreme 4x4 before you do!
|01-15-2011 03:29 AM|
|JimmyJazz||But why would you sell it if you made all the check-ups and it runs good? I mean, why did it become a salvage title? I'm saying this because it's hard to find a TJ in good condition in Beirut (took me 3 months actually)|

|JimmyJazz||Good luck finding another one...|

|Chief_leb||its an 00 TJ sport soft top with a 4.0L 6 cylinders engine. Transmission is manual and the jeep is a stock car with no modifications. military green color. I am willing to sell it at 10K if someone is interested.|
|01-14-2011 12:34 AM|
how much did u buy it?
what is its specs...?
|01-13-2011 02:21 PM|
|Chief_leb||no doubt Xtreme 4x4 in antelias. now the bad news is that today i took my TJ to Xtreme and it turned out to be a salvage title!!! Although i had made all checkups possible before buying it! it is really a turn off! now i want to sell it and get another one!|

|JimmyJazz||Xtreme 4x4 in Antelias|

i would like to do some changes and enhancement on my old wrangler 1989, too.
maybe change from Carburator to Fuel Injection, (if Carb couldnt be fixed)
who is the best Mecanic in Lebanon that can do this job completely from the first trial?
appreciate your replies, as i am new to Jeep community.

Finally after extensive search, I got a 2001 Wrangler Sport 4.0 stock! I wanted a stock one to build it from scratch and I am intending on keeping everything original and genuine in the machine.
Can anyone recommend an accessory shop for wranglers in beirut that wouldnt rip me off?

|english jeep||Lionel, Actually I would prefer auto, but they are much rarer and also as our other cars are auto it would be good to have one manual in the family for my son to learnt to drive in. No, not Lebanese, but married to one.|

|english jeep||Lionel, I would appreciate the pics you have. Where was it based? I have seen a very high mileage 1999 Jeep in Antilieas which is priced too high and hence still forsale. e mail is firstname.lastname@example.org|

Sorry dude i just called the guy from the red wrangler (he's from Broummana). It's been sold.
Are you sure you want manual? I'm a bit tired of my manual gearbox (lots of stop and go traffic and hills here...)
I have some pics of the second jeep wrangler with some rust. If you want, give me your msn adress and i'll send them to you. I have some issues uploading pics right now...

thanks for prompt posting. The third vehicle you mention sounds promising; let me know if you find the tel number. I will give the other guys a ring. Was the frame rust very bad? A sign of lots of off road work maybe?
I have been looking for several months myself, but only serious, recently and diappointed to fidn mostly only 20 year olf Wranglers for sale.

Wranglers are pretty rare in Beirut...so i'm gonna give you the number of the guys that had wrangler when i was searching for one:
03 839 763 : This was a 2001 Wrangler Sport, Manual
03 845 854: This was a 2004 Wrangler, Manual, it had a lift, 33 Tires i think, soft/hard top, 50 000km. But it had some rust on the frame, that's why i decided not to buy it.
I don't know if they still have them, it's been more than a month since i saw them
I also know a 2004 Wrangler Unlimited Manual, Red, but i don't have the number right now, let me find it and i'll get back to you.
By the way, are you lebanese?
Concerning the accessories, i know a store who can provide you the complete quadratec catalogue, it's in Antelias, called Xtreme 4x4 (ask for Assaad Dagher - 03 59 07 57 - tell him you got the number from Lionel). But their prices are, in my opinion high, so tell me if you find something else!

lionel, thanks for comment. I am looking for something between 99-04ish. Must be manual. AC would be nice. biggish wheels nice too. drop me a line if you know of any. I was hoping to buy this side of xmas so I could enjoy it in the feastive period.
I almost bought a 2004 US import but found it was a salvage title. Interesting to see another post in the forum about salvage cars. The one I looked at was a 2004 and they were asking around 14k. Very nice condition, winch, lifts, big wheels, nice front tube bumper. After what someone else was saying about salvage being after 75% damage it must have been a massive crash because the write off was in 2005, at only a year old. It is not possible to se what the car has been doing in the past 4 years either. Maybe sitting in a salvage yead, by why they take so long? Anyway, sounds too risky dispite the great condition

I saw this post headline, and I said to myself "there's a guy from Beirut who posts here, but I'll never get his name right..."
So it's awesome to see that Lionel saw it already! And Lionel: send me some photographs of offroading in Beirut. I want them for my Blog!!

|JimmyJazz||Haha, it seems we are the only Lebanese (i'm french but anyway i live here) Jeepers in this Forum! But anyway, i've spent three months searching for a Jeep Wrangler and finally found one...So tell me, what's your budget, maybe i could help you!|

wrangers in Beirut
Hi, first time post. I am trying to find a good Wranger, lates 90s or early 00s in Beirut. The ones I have seen have mostly been beaten up. Some are ex-salvage US imports which look OK but you just never know what you are getting with a repaired salvage vehicle. Anyone got advice on a good dealer or private seller in the city or north of the city that might have something worth looking at?
I am also interested in finding out more about Wrangler accessories in the country. I will want summer doors and a bikini top for sure; are there places that supply these or must I import myself?
Any help much appreciated!
