Where to Buy

Bettyred, I'd suggest looking at Quadratec, 4-Wheel Drive Hardware and possibly Rusty's Offroad. I am certain the first two will defintely have what you need and Rusty's may have a replacement they manufacture themselves. Hope this helps. I think the mechanics around you are way out of line price-wise. I might suggest checking into local Jeep clubs to see if someone there could direct you to a mechanic who might really care about you and your Jeep.

bettyred I know! I feel like a dumb ass. The mechanic who fixed my radiator was a Jeep owner himself, so it gave me some hope and trust. I live in Ventura, CA (originally from WA) and been to about five different shops for quotes this past week. They all quote about a grand for the work.
I think what I'll do is by the exhaust manifold online. What are the best sites to buy from?

Thanks again and I'm learnin' slowly.

crafty Not sure what type of Rad they got for you. I have had new ones that cover your year with a lifetime warranty for under $150. Definately shop around on that exhaust. What area are you in? Someone might be able to give you a good lead :-)

amerijeep I'll happily sell you my radiator at a discount off that $800.

Scotty355 $800 does sound like alot to charge for the radiator, I would get a second opinion on the exhaust.
It might be cheaper to weld the exhaust but you run the risk of it never seating right again and blowing out the gaskets, maybe ask if he can find a good one in the junk yards.

amy I can't answer your question but good luck getting your jeep fixed. The folks here can steer you in the right direction.

Welcome to WF.

You need a new mechanic. 800 dollars for a TJ radiator is absolutely unheard of. Did you get the quote about the exhaust setup from the same people as the radiator?
