Hmmm, I have the smokers package, which has both the cig lighter & power port. So it would seem there's a difference in fuse placement then, as the power port fuse is supposed to be in the PDC.

30-284 If you are saying that you re cig. lighter is not getting power, and all of the fuses are good, then check one of the 2 relays behind the glove box as the one goes open when the key is off, that way there is no power at the cig. lighter when the key is off.

jordan.cook Yeah, I'm referring to the Cig lighter, the Auxiliary power (switched). The Auxiliary power (unswitched) is not wired in my 2001 TJ otherwise i'd look for a way to just wire up an auxiliary power adapter to that wire. I may do that anyway if nothing else solves my issue lol

HyperBuzzin Hmm, maybe I was wrong on the fuse#, but the fuse for the power outlet is in the PDC.
Did the power outlet work before, but not now??

EDIT
WAIT A MINUTE.....
The cig lighter works only with the key on, not the power port, as it's always hot.
So that is the one you are referring to, the cig lighter???

jordan.cook Nevermind, there is nothing to clip a fuse into...

jordan.cook Ahh, I see what you mean....fuse 17 in the PDC is unlabeled and does not have a fuse in it. Would it hurt to throw a 15 amp fuse in it to see if it makes a diff?

No. Wiper, blinker and headlight fuses are behind the glovebox.
The cigar lighter fuse is as well, but (IIRC) that isn't the same fuse for the power port.

jordan.cook I just checked the fuse in the PDC, it looks good (although I'd have to test it). However, it was blown then my blinkers, wipers and lights wouldn't work.

jordan.cook I've only checked the fuses behind the glove box (with the key on).

I'll check the PDC under the hood, is there one dedicated for the auxiliary power?

HyperBuzzin I take it you checked the fuse with the key turned on?
And did you check the fuse in the PDC (power distribution center) under the hood, or the one behind the glovebox?
I believe the power outlet is fuse 17 in the PDC.

2001 TJ - Auxiliary Power (Switched) - Problem

Quick question, my auxiliary power (switched)/Cig Lighter isn't working. I replaced it, but still no power. I checked the fuse panel and I'm not even getting any power to the fuse (checked with a test light). A while back I had the multi switch in the steering column replaced. Any idea if that would cause the switched power auxiliary to stop working? Since the key has to be on or in the ACC position for the power to work (child safety precaution per the manual)?

I did pull the multi switch on the steering column and check the connections but still no luck.

In the 2001 Wrangler, I've read that there is no lead for the unswitched auxiliary power, otherwise I'd just run a new line.

Any suggestions or help would appreciated...I can post pictures but I'm not sure that would help lol

Thanks,

Jordan
