Jerry Bransford Though OE soft top frames like that one are pretty scarce, I'd hint around that you're looking at several but that if he'll take $40 cash you'll go for his right now. See what he says, it can't hurt.

Neil F. If you get it, find out what year it is before you order fabric. There is a slight difference frame size 97-02, 03-06

Geoff@Bestop Burton: Price out how much a replacement top costs, (fabric, windows, etc) then compare it to a full top with the hardware. There are a lot of variables (doors, etc.), so spend some time on Quadratec, JCW or similar web site. I'm not sure how much you'd save when it comes time to buy a new top.

But it doea look like a good price on factory hardware. There are some bolts and what not. The tailgate bar doesn't seem to be there, but you can buy one for 50 bucks or so.

The big worry is that hardware does wear out, and you could end up with a warped, misfitting top. I can't think of any easy way to check this.

Exl2392 Looking at mine it looks like the one pictured, bolts onto roll bar in two locations and has the header piece that clips onto windshield

I do already have those foldable pieces. No idea how they're supposed to go on but I got them with the bimini top that came with my wrangler

anything else I'd be missing? actually, what about that rear retaining bar that's there? Unless it's already on the hardtop, I'm positive I don't have that piece.

Exl2392 Looks good but you might need the door pieces as well being you have hard doors

A Good Deal on a Soft Top Frame?

Okay, so I'm looking to pick up this wrangler soft top frame for my TJ tomorrow off of Craigslist.

Jeep Wrangler TJ Soft Top Frame

I really don't know anything about the softops and what's necessary, but does it look like everything besides the top itself is there, and is $60 a good price?

I have a hardtop, and have had a lot of trouble locating a soft top for the summer. So is pretty much the next thing I'll need to pickup the replacement softtop?

Also, is this the frame that will fold down in the back so I can put the top up and down easily?
