I have heard of a device you can get that will trick the computer into thinking the emissions system is up to snuff. Basically... and correct me if im wrong but the first o2 sensor on the jeep switches voltage back and forth helping to correct fuel air ratio... and the second o2 sensor should read a steady voltage after the cat telling it that the system is running the right amount of o2 out of the car and therefore the proper amount of co2. This device provides a steady voltage to the computer saying that your o2 is correct. From what I read.... sometimes the jeep is not even polluting but an o2 sensor went out of factory calibration so you cat may still be doing the job its supposed to. Not the best explination I know.... but its a starting point.

Catalytic converter help needed asap!
Well I have a 2001 4.0 Wrangler that needs to go through emissions very soon and I am throwing a P420 code and from my understanding that means I need a new catalytic converter. I was about to order a decent high flow magnaflow but when I called a local shop that does my welding and exhaust work in the past to get a quote on labor, I was informed that the rear cat is useless. I infact need 2 cats on my headers replaced since those are the ones that are read by the ecu. I thought those were just pre-cats and the only one that gets read is the rear. Can someone please clear this up for me and point me in the right direction. I need to get this done asap.
