|nawsyj||I can get a 8.8 for 150 but then I have to regear it and find someone willing to weld the new mounts on and not rape me while doing it. I am not skilled enough to weld this myself. If anyone is near williamsburg va and would like to make some extra cash doing this for me than hit me up. It is my preferance to go with 8.8 so I know its good to go but like I said Im having problems finding someone willing to help me with the project.|

|cheapjeep71||I wouldn't waste the money building up a D35 no matter what you put into it. You still have c-clips, drum brakes & weak axle tubes. Better to spend a little more money on the 8.8 & get a strong axle and disc brakes. These axles are out there & at reasonable prices.|

My friend broke three shafts in his super 35 on 37" mtrs. We do some pretty hard wheeling though. The 8.8 with stock shafts won't be any stronger than the super 35.

|4Jeepn||Had buddy the super 35 and a detroit locker in it. The shafts never busted, but the locker had some internal issue and was replaced after a few years. Not sure what caused the issue. I drove it in Windrock orv in TN, and had all the weight of the jeep on one rear wheel waiting for it to bust as I moved forward up a hill, was fine.|

thoughts vs ford 8.8 I have done the math and the super 35 will be about 200 bucks cheaper when said and done. is it worth the savings to go with the super? who has excperiance with this and have you had any problems. I have tried to research this but it is the same as everything there are lovers and haters. does this solve the weak links in the d35? if not what are the weak links it doesnt solve. i have a 95 with 3.07 and soon to be 4.11 and maybe super d35? I plan on lifting 4" and running 33" tires maybe one day 35". If I get the chance aka cash money I would like to drop a v8 in it. thanks for your help.
