Dogman Before moving to Oregon and buying a Jeep, we had a place in Lake Havasu AZ and were into hot boat's. I always like this pic I took of our custom 29' with the London Bridge in the back ground. We did that for 10 years until the bubble burst(for us) in 2006but what fun it was

Wordgie I used to dabble in photography way before digital and never really got the knack for it. I got my wife an EOS Rebel T3 for Christmas one year and I'm starting to use it. Really digging photography now.

This is my top rated pic on Pixoto right now and one of the first ones I took with any sort of seriousness.

AmIgone The Sandhill Crane migration is starting around here now. There are around 4K in the area now. In another month there will be around 20k.

Salton Sea Walker It's headed for some hard times.. If nothing is done (soon) it will (mostly) dry up.. The big issue is the toxic dust storms from the exposed playa will reach Palm Springs and potentially, the Inland Empire. I share a lot of this info, along with more pretty pictures and updates on my planned 116 mile walk around it on my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/SaltonSeaWalk

I am curious about the Salton Sea. I saw a doc on it and was amazed about it's history. How is it doing? Sonny Bono was a big supporter but I hear it has been on hard times and the water is being sold off. so it may not exist in the near future. The doc had the marina, restaurants, nightclubs ect. all closed up and the people that are left there are in limbo about the future. What is the current situation?
