Ray - San Jose I run the same setup in the hot summer months. I usually use the Tonto and the bikini top and leave the back window off. I also run a set of canvas 1/2 doors with relocated mirrors. I have run the hard doors with this setup and they work fine also. The only thing you may not like is the weather and wind can come in from between the rear window and the door frames.

Geoff@Bestop You do not NEED door surrounds but you will get a tighter, more weather proof fit if you have them.

That Bikini should fit plenty tight enough that you won't need a bow prop. I run this combination on my CJ, and I will get small puddles, but you can't adjust as well on the old-school roll bars. On a TJ, should be no problem.

The full steel doors will work fine. But you're going to start dreaming about half doors!

Beyond that, there are the obvious trade-offs for running a half cab set-up. You can't use the back seat, less room for the dogs. But a lot of us like that look. I frequently end up using just the Bikini top, but it gets hot here in the summer, and I mostly just want the shade.

School me on the Bikini, Windjammer, and Tonneau combo for the summer.

Looking for some info on using a bikini, windjammer, and tonneau combo for the summer. My jeep only has a hard top and i don't want to spend a lot of money to buy a soft top. I do not need to drive the jeep in torrential rain, i have a car for that, but i do need something that will keep it mostly dry when parked in the rain or if i catch a passing shower while i am out in it.

Quadratec has the Bestop Bikini, windjammer, and tonneau combo for $239 right now.

Do i need door surrounds? The photos show them. I have full steel doors. Should i get a the bow prop for the bikini to prevent a pool?

Although i am not new to Jeeps (i've had a CJ-7, YJ and 2 TJ's) i have never run this summer top setup before.
Thanks in advance.
