TrueNorth Sometimes a new oil filter will leak. Twist it clockwise by hand, see if it's loose.

Make sure they put the oil fill cap back on. Passenger side toward front of engine.

If you can't pinpoint the leak you may need to clean the entire area with simple green and a garden hose so you're starting with a clean surface.

I didn't see any oil in the picture you posted.

Might have to climb under there and poke around with a flashlight.
Let it cool down before you do, exhaust near the motor is screaming hot.

zero1975 Thank you Paul. Nope not foamy. Doesn't smell like anything, and engine oil is not low. It actually slowed a lot and is not really leaking much. I am wondering if when they changed the oil at the garage, they just over filled it. Or maybe it's a seal that needs replacing. It is the same color as my oil. Nothing odd with it. No engine lights are on, and temperature is fine. Weird. What cracks me up is this thing has 66,000 miles on it. I love it, but OMG, why do so many things go wrong with it?

Zedr2 Light brown, check your engine oil using the dipstick and see if it's foamy, if so that's water/antifreeze in the oil and could be a blown head gasket ...
Not trying to scare you as it could be anything ?
Also, stick your finger in the 'oil' and see what it smells like ..

zero1975 ok thank you thats a good idea. This is a light brown thinner fluid with a slight stickiness to it. I just had the two front axle seals replaced, a U joint, and the water pump. They also just did the oil change, this was just two weeks ago nothing else was showing up.

jokerchief462 Get some clean cardboard to put under the suspected area of the leak. That way you will be able to pinpoint the drip area and may help identify what is leaking.

Leaks are tough to pinpoint because of gravity. They travel down but they also travel with the air flow in the engine bay and under the vehicle. So where it drips to the ground can be misleading. You may have to look forward and up higher.

To determine what us leaking it will depend on color and feel. Engine oil is usually brown, manual trans and gearbox fluid is sticky. Auto trans and transfer case is pink.
