NY94YJ Seems to be related to HVAC, I get this "Click Click..........click Click..." ONLY when Heat or AC is on........kinda sounds like an oven when it's Pre-Heating.

I need to replace the resistor (fan only works on 3,4) and was hoping that would take care of the click.......but this thread makes me think otherwise.

tobycat1 Sounds to me like you guys all have melted plastic coating on 2 wires that touch now and then. That would explain it if they are random clicks.

2much I have a similiar, possible the same problem, mine seems as if it is related to rpm's though, there is no pattern as to when I hear it, and when I don't, but I can normallyh make it go away by upshifting, my jeep has done this since I bought it, I just figured it was jeep thing.

otton64 I have the exact same problem as "Sandman". I just bought the truck and the problem started a week after. It looks like is something loose somewhere.

I agree. This sounds like a classic relay problem. Have you checked to see if you have any blown fuses? Is there anything on your heep that doesn't work? Finding out which relay is clicking is easy. You'll be able to feel it by just putting your hand on it.

jpdocdave a/c compressor could be noisey, but it is only cycling w/ defrost on, or a/c on. you can look at it and see if it is cycling.

No, nothing new to report, it is still there. Mine has nothing to do with bumps, I can hear it at a idle. To me it is almost like something is cycling, or kicking on and off. Maybe it has something to do with the defroster, or the a/c depending on the season. Scooby

rich1014 Your heater/AC fan is under there. Maybe you have the impeller hitting on something.

amy Can you give us some more info on this clicking? When does it happen? How loud is it? Does it sound like something hitting or rattling or what?
02-11-2007 02:21 PM
Scooby The turn signal is not on when this happens, and Iam pretty sure that it is not crabs, or anything else living under there!
02-11-2007 02:07 PM
skeeter Your Jeep has crabs and those are the claws snapping together in anticipation...
