Hesto Pokey you were right It turns out that I have to turn the key back one click after I start the engine and everything works. This also makes the clutch stop squealing, which leads me to believe that it in fact is not the clutch.

Thanks for your help!

pokey I don't know about the clutch, but the turn signals and radio problem could be connected to a bad ignition switch. There were recent threads about this problem if you do a search. My '99 had the same problem. I replaced the switch and it solved the turn signal/radio problem. Good luck.

Hesto
oil change issue

2000 Jeep Wrangler
Manuel Transmission
2.5 liter 4 cylinder

I just bought this jeep off of my Aunt. It drove great with no problems at all. The other day I went to start up the jeep to change the oil. Suddenly the clutch started making this horrible screeching noise when it is depressed all the way.

I did some research and I think it is the throw out bearing.

Thats not the bad part though.

After I got done with the oil change I took it for a spin and found out that the turn signals don't work and the center console with the stereo, fan controls and the heater controls doesn't work any more.

All of this worked before the oil change. I checked to see if I knocked a wire loose during the oil change but all i found were the a/c hook ups (2). I also checked the fuses but the only one that was bad was labeled stop light.

Any ideas to help with my hunt for a fix?

Thanks
