2012Cosmos Best way to loosen the doors is to open the door fully, grab the edge of the door and "gently" rock the door/jeep (be sure not to let door swing fully out as you'll hit the cowl/fender, assuming you have disconnected). Not hard where you bend the doorpins into the hignes but enough to loosen the dirt/corrosion/whatever out of there. Once I get a little bit of play, I spray the heck out of it with WD-40. Few minutes later they should pull right out.

zaqsdad Thanks! That will have to wait for the weekend, and looking for security screws now, may as well replace them with those instead of OEM

Upsfeederdude They may be a bit tough to get off. My back doors slide right off, but I had to use a jack with a block of wood to get the fronts off. Make sure to roll down your windows first, and if you have to use a jack go slow and try have someone there to help you catch the door when it decides to break loose.

This. Although looks like they may need. Bit of wd40 should help.

Espo78 Yes, there are aftermarket hinge locks. Put up a picture of what you have.

Taking the doors off

I bought a 2008 JKUX and noticed I don't have a tool to take the doors off. I thought it would be a simple torx bit, but I don't have torx screws at the hinges!?! Is there an aftermarket security kit for doors? I think I may be screwed here( pun not intended)
