|InfernoGirl||They make little clip things for TJ's too, if you want to go doors off, and not have to pull the fuse. I bet they have them for JK's too.|

|Jp90Talon||Well I have mine pulled in the TJ and only things that stopped working was the annoying buzzer that told you when your door was open or when your headlights are on as well as the dome light when the door is open. Light still works but I have to turn it on by the switch...just doesn't turn on automaticly when I open my door. Only thing is make sure you turn off your headlights. Not really an issue but you will no longer get the reminder that they are on.|

I could not find the right fuse in the manual. Looks like I will just start removing fuses until I stop hearing the chime, and then try to figure out what else is not working

Modify key chime
I usually find myself in my Sahara stopped at some place (a trailhead for instance) and I would like to listen to music while I am at it. But I have found that the only way to do it is with the doors closed; otherwise the key chime will drive me nuts. Any idea how to modify the key chime? Quite often I would like to listen to music with the door open.
Ideally it should beep for a minute or two and then shut up (what made the design engineers think that if I have not done anything about the key in two minutes, I will do it in the next 58 minutes :-)
BTW: unplugging the doors is not a good solution because of the power windows.
Thanks for your ideas.
