|R u s s||I would get a different one my experience is any heavy damage even if the frame was not bent can change how it drives and once you make the commitment to having it repaired if it drives goofy when they complete repairs then its your problem(cause they will tell you it meets specs). Most shops are good at fixing them but things can be missed I had my car repaired once and it seemed great until it rained before it was wrecked never leaked a drop. After it was fixed it pooled in the floor boards. Never could find the source. Thats how I ended up with my jeep cause I was so disappointed in my rebuilt car. And the insurance gave me the cold shoulder|

^x2 on that. If the frame is not bent or tweaked, keep it ! If the frame is twerking worse than Miley Cyrus... I'd look for another Jeep. TJ JK YJ CJ or Willys, dealers choice of course. Got any pics of the wrecked Jeep ?

I would assume that with that sort of damage the frame is tweaked pretty badly. Maybe not, though. If the frame is indeed bent I would take the money and get another TJ, which that would come close to covering. The 2010 JK will still cost you 11 grand after you get your check and give up your beloved TJ. Another TJ will only run you about four grand more and you already like the TJ model quite a bit.

|screwystewy||I say fix it..for 5100 bucks you can do ALOT of mods and fix it better than it was before..just make sure their isnt any frame damage or other major damage|

I just "totalled" my 1997 Wrangler Sport - HELP !!!
Should I pay to Repair her OR should I put the $$$ money to buy a used 2010 Wrangler Sport????
Her name is "Chilli". I paid CASH for her in 1997 New & she has never been in an accident. She has manual transmission, has 140,000 miles. I have kept up on all Maintenance. Just got $1000 tire set.
Last week I was hit by a taxi perpendicular to the Left Front Wheel / Fender. The taxi was going 35 mph, I was going 10mph.
The Allstate affiliated Collision Repair Shop said the costs would be: $1500 for new front Fender & $5000 for Suspension work, totalling $7200. Allstate will give me $8000 to give up the car OR $5100 if I keep the car.
My question is: Should I fix the car (adding some of my own money) or put the $8000 into saving for a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport for $19000 ??? Do you think my Jeep is WORTH fixing for the money, might there be other complications from this accident after fixing ????????
