cadeucsb while i cant diagnose why its harder after your install, I can tell you its not normal. I just replaced my gearbox a month ago and it felt like butter right after.

Sorry I am not more help in getting your issue fixed, but thought I could at least provide a frame of reference.

steering gear box replaced now other ?

first I wanted to say thanks to adventureMyk, his how to was flawless, very easy following his instructions, again thank you.
now I have another question, the steering is harder that it used to be. first time I turned on the jeep it was nice and light, left it on a little, check the power stering resevoir and added some fluid to the right level., let it run, fluid level still good, cool !!!. turn the engine off and do other things to the jeep, pack up and go back to the apartment, then i feel that the steering is much heavier than before. is this normal ?
