My switches are there to stay, unless I decide to wire in a power inverter in that spot, I would have put them in the blanks but I couldnt get my hands on any daystar switches right away which would pop right in:

In my '98....
...that's the ash tray.
I did something similar, with the same Hella lights and same switches, only I put my switches in those switch blanks in the area just to the left, above the power outlets. Figured if I wanted to remove the switches, I can just replace those blanks and it's like they were never there!

|ski0rb0ard||not to be off topic...but that area where you mounted the switches, there is nothing there in my jeep either. I was wondering what goes there on some stock jeeps. anyone know?|

Dont have pics of running the wire, I just ran the wire under the windshield in the "channel" next to the hinges. The lights are Hella 500FF Driving lights from Walmart. I really like the lights mounted there, I bought the KC light mounts for $25 off the internet. They light up the hood a little but not much in my opinion. I ditched the included switch and bought 3 switches and installed all of them so when I add more lights the switches are already in place. I wired them up according to the instructions to come on with the low beam, but the directions are flawed and they still only come on with the bright lights. If I had it to do over again I would open up the lights run bigger wire and just run straight to battery and fuse the positive side. Here are the pics of the switch installation:

These look really great, can you show detail pics of how you ran the wires and mounted the switch?
Are these driving or fog lights? How do you like having them mounted up there?
Do you get a lot of reflection off the hood?

Went to Walmart, decided to get the lights I've been looking at for awhile, and picked up some paint to make them go with the jeep a little better:
I peaked in the box to checkout the light covers, and thought I'd pick up some paint so they would go with the jeep a little better.
I took some painters tape I had at the house and taped off the lettering.
sprayed two coats and let them set for about 30 minutes.
pulled off the tape, I think I waited too long, because the paint came up with the tape in a couple places
I plan on touching up with a brush before all is done.
