I was wondering:
1. How is the switch installed over the clutch shaft? I'm considering purchasing a new switch, but am also considering a bypass. If possible I'd like to take the switch off and test it.
2. How is the linkage attached to the pedal? I haven't actually gotten my eyeballs on this, but after feeling it there doesn't appear to be any "positive retention" to hold the linkage onto the shaft. As a matter of fact, after fiddling with the switch a couple of times I inadvertently knocked the link off the pedal(!).
Any info would be most appreciated.

Manual Clutch Netural Switch
I recently replaced the clutch master cylinder and was trying to get the netural switch to work again. When the pedal is fully pressed, the slide in the switch doesn't make contact with the two contact plates at the other end. I removed the switch cover in the pictures. For some reason, as shown in the picture the slide stops right before the contacts. The pedal is fully depressed in as shown in the picture. I checked the new shaft against the old one and couldn't find any differences other than the new one has plastic. Maybe I have it setup incorrectly. The old setup worked ok with the switch. Now, I just did the 20 amp fuse bypass for now. But, it puzzles me as to why the new install has this problem.
