Your stock wheels are likely 7.5" not 9.5" too. Look at 285/70-17 tires if you want to keep those wheels.
I like 16" wheels with 4.5" backspacing, myself. The wheels clear the brakes easily, any upgrades you might want to make to hard parts, and the rubber is less expensive than for 17's.
I'm running 285/75-16 tires right now.

AH...I hadn't noticed her Jeep is not a JK...thanks...!
I will most likely run my stockers til they wear out some...then probably a small lift coil or BB then 15 or 16 inch wheels with 33's.
Not looking to depart from stock or lift to the sky at all...the extent of my wheeling is mostly woods trails and such. This is my daily driver and I want to keep it mostly stock with a little more beefy look. I'll probably never never go rock crawling either....at least not in the foreseeable future.

Most will recommend more lift for 33's for better clearance offroad. I don't go offroad very often, so flexing isn't a huge concern for me either.

Hi mow!
Hi! and thanks for the info.

whathajeep i know all about the budget ,look online for smaller rims you'll regret a big rim when you go to shop for tires ,sometimes you can get a good tire and wheel package cheaper through the web rather than a dealer

lift question (moved from lift review thread)

hello everybody,
i am new to the whole jeep thing and I plan on putting in a 2.5 skyjacker lift. my question is what tires and rims to go with? i would like something around 33" for mud terrain and im kind of on a budget. i have the stock 17x9.5 rims and i dont know if i should get a diff rim and if so what size? thank you.
