|muddle jumper||I got the smittybilt raised winch plate and I have the smittybilt src bumper for an 03 wrangler|

I had to drill holes in the top of my Smitty classic bumper with my RC flat winch plate. The two front bolt heads for the winch made contact with the bumper before it could sit flat on top of it. They cleared my stock bumper. A slightly raised winch plate also prevents this problem.
I made the holes in the bumper big enough for the winch bolt heads to drop inside them. Easier than trying to run the bolts through the bumper, then the plate, and into the winch.
And you can still mount the winch on the plate first.

|muddle jumper||ok thanks wasn't sure because it told me look and see if I need to drill holes on the bumper for the front two bolts of the winch to go in. I will post picks after I put in on hopefully it goes on easily|

|muddle jumper||ok thanks wasn't sure because it was saying to make sure i don't need to drill holes in the bumper for the front bolts of the winch to mount into the plate|

Little common sense goes a long way
Usually easiest to mount the winch to the plate, then bolt to the Jeep.

|Big Cole||Mount the winch to the winch plate first then bolt the plate to the front of your rig.|
