winginit I work for the DOT state of Connecticut. No inspection or emissions required at this time. ( because of the age of the jeep )

after you buy the vehicle .

go to DMV with.

1) title
2) bill of sale
3) proof of insurance
4) your drivers license
5) check or cash

if you owe town tax, pay it and bring proof

CTfirefighter as long as everything works like it should and the fenders cover the tires you shouldn't have any issues passing inspection

Registering out of state vehicle in ct

I live in connecticut and have found a 86 Cj7 with a 4.0 swap for sale on craigslist. The owner recently moved here from california and never registered here in ct. It passed emissions and smog last year in Ca, but im concerned about the safety inspection. It has a dana 44 rear end, heavy duty steering, 4 inch SkyJacker lift and 35's. it also has power steering and power breaks. Could someone let me know my likely hood of passing the safety inspection. Also the jeep is rust free.

Thanks,

Wes
