Uh oh, looks like big brother may have decided that these are just too much fun.
How dare we have mufflers on guns, or even things that might resemble mufflers...

|Joe Dirt||I took it out shooting today with my son and some friends. Once I got the sights zeroed it shot real nice. I'm a big fan of the H&K style sights. We had a lot of fun. It is a bit of a PITA to clean.|

No full Auto. I think the black helicopters in California are now following me just because you asked and I can hear Nancy Pelosi at my door with the FBI as we speak.
Seriously, a full auto weapon needs more than just a full auto sear. The increadible heat that builds up will quickly destroy a normal barrel and other internal parts. That is why machine guns have heavy barrels and lots of steal parts (not much alloy).
|02-09-2010 09:38 PM|
And even if I knew I wouldn't say. Simply asking the question is in poor taste assuming that you know it's highly illegal to convert them.
|02-09-2010 09:10 PM|
And will land you a minimum 10 year stay at Club Fed if you survive the trial and error period to make it work. ANY full auto weapon or auto sear must be serialized, made before 1986, and on the books for a citizen (in a state that allows it, AND with proper NFA tax stamp) to own period unless you're a class 3 SOT.

There are Ruger 10/22's that were converted prior to the 86 ban that can be purchased if you live in a free state. Or you can convert/build new post samples if you have the proper manufacturing license however converting any semi auto rifle not specifically designed to run full auto is extremely dangerous.

Do any of these shoot full auto?
Is it hard to do the conversion? Not that any of the law abiding WFers would ever consider such madness, but just wondering....

I picked it up today after my CA waiting period
I can't wait to shoot the thing. The only issue I see is that the mags are all plastic, including the lips. I hope they don't wear out too fast.

I agree to much$$ for a 22 POS
But I tell you what after you empty
that drum then slap in the 30 you cant wipe the smile
off your face for the rest of the day

|Joe Dirt||I remember back in the 80's when those came out they were $200. $600 seems a little steep. For that price you can get a GSG SP89.|

A bud has a tec-22 scorpion
30 round clip and a 50 drum
He wants 600 for it

|05GT-O.C.D.||Yeah, the Charger and this are completely different. I'd like to have one of each.|
|02-01-2010 07:37 PM|
|Joe Dirt||The Ruger Charger appears to be a cut down 10/22 rifle. I have a heavy barrel 10/22 already. It is fun to shoot. I just wanted something different.|
|02-01-2010 04:22 PM|
I personally prefer my Ruger Charger as far as a plinking "toy"...
they are fun to shoot....mainly just b/c they look cool.

|sdunsworth||Buddy of mine bought one about 6 weeks ago. Fun toy and cheap to shoot.|
|01-31-2010 02:35 PM|
Despite all that, the gun has a great feel, weight and the H&K design is awsome. Sure I wish I could have a full auto, suppressed subgun with a 50 round drum, but I'll take what I can get.
|01-30-2010 07:32 PM|
Is the can real? If so, how long did the NFA paperwork take? I really want to use my Walther p22 as a suppressor host.
:EDIT: From the pic, it looks like its not real, but a barrel shroud to keep it out of the SBR range since it has a stock.
|01-30-2010 05:21 PM|
|Joe Dirt||H&K is going to be building their own. I've got a feeling the price will be much higher.|
|01-30-2010 03:33 PM|
|05GT-O.C.D.||Yeah, good to get that while you can. They're a very stout .22. I was impressed with the build as I expected something more lightweight.|
|01-30-2010 03:30 PM|
|skeeter||The GSG 5 is a lot of fun, it's too bad H&K sued em to stop production.|

|PecosRiver||Looks like fun! Very nice.|

New toy MP5SD
Check out my new toy. It's a GSG MP5SD. It's .22 Caliber so it will be cheap to shoot.
