jpdocdave most common culprit here is the crank position sensor, either did not get plugged back in, or wires got pinched between the trans and engnie. the sensor is toward the top of the bellhousing, and gets overlooked.

Screwjack I replaced a transmission recently, so let me think about it a bit and see what I can't come up with. In the mean time, somebody else on the forum that knows more than me will probably be along shortly with an answer.

cpaul3 ok it turns over and over sounds like it is not getting gas... if i turn the engine over without the clutch in it pulls so i know the clutch is engaged but i didnt do anything but swap out the transmission.
thanks

Screwjack What is it doing? Does it attempt to turn over and then nothing, or the starter turns and turns but doesn't catch, or is it more like no power and the starter doesn't even turn?
