lynn Lots of mods done to that rig.
The serial number will be stamped on the frame in two places. One just below where the battery sits, one near the rear wheel hump, passenger side.
Of course there's no way to tell if the frame is original to the rest of the rig.

Lack of a battery box lid on the cowl puts it about '65 or later.
Under-seat tank limits it to mid-1970 or earlier
Windshield has small glass, making it mid '69 or earlier.
The wiper should have an exterior motor on the windshield, if the low-mount is original.
If the tailgate delete is original, it could be one of the rare predecessors to the Renegade I, the 1969 462 option. I'm not fully up on the details of that option. I suggest you join and post your pics at Early CJ5.net > Forums.
The guys there may give you a more definitive answer.

Good luck!

harleydragon I only looked at the pics of the tub and firewall..number plate appears to be gone but the gas tank filler on the side says it is 71 or earlier..the t-90 was available through 58..the t-90c through 71 and the t-90j through 58 if that helps

F100 Hi-Boy
New to me Jeep, need help identifying model.

Hey everybody. I'm new to the board and am seeking help identifying a Jeep I just acquired. There are no ID tags on it that I can find. I'm guessing it is a 1950's CJ due to the drive train that came with it. At least the drive train is 50's, early 60's. I used to have a 1955 Willys Utility and it had very similar drive train. What I have is far from complete. It is the body tub, a steel upper body enclosure, the axles, trans, transfer case, T90 trans, gas tanks and a grill. The word JEEP is embossed into the steel on the body. Is there a permanent VIN stamped into the tub on these Jeeps? Any help as to the year and model of this collection would be greatly appreciated. I'm posting links to pictures I took of the Jeep parts yesterday. Thanks.
